At 20:28, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a farm tractor on fire in the 24000 block of Walden Road. Upon arrival, Engine 204 and Tanker 202 could not access the tractor, which was in a field off the roadway on a steep hill. Command 210 was able to reach the tractor and use a portable fire extinguisher until Brush 208 could arrive. The fire was believed to be electrical in nature. In addition to the units mentioned, Command 209 and Utility 207 also responded, along with units from the Washington County Life Saving Crew.
