At 10:17, Abingdon Fire was alerted to set up a landing zone at Latture Field for Virginia State Police MedFlight for a fall victim. The female subject was cutting tree limbs from a ladder at a residence on Pippin Street and fell approximately 20 feet. After stabilizing, Washington County Life Saving Crew transported the patient to the landing zone for transport to Bristol Regional Medical Center. Chief 201, Rescue Engine 206 and Utility 210 responded. Abingdon Police Department was also on the scene.
