At 18:48, Abingdon Fire was dispatched to an accident involving a motorcycle and a car. The motorcycle caught on fire and was extinguished using portable fire extinguishers before the Fire Department arrived. Two people were transported to Johnston Memorial Hospital by Washington County Life Saving Crew. Engine 201, Utility 207, Brush 208, and Command 209 responded along with the Virginia State Police and Washington County Sheriffs’ Department.
