At 17:06, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a bush and mulch fire in the 18000 block of Middle Drive. Upon arrival, it was determined that the bush has set the structure’s vinyl siding, soffit and shutters on fire. Damage was confined to the outside and a youth that had been smoking on the side of the structure was believed to be the cause of the fire. Brush 208, Utility 207, Engine 204, and Command 209 responded along with a unit of the Washington County Life Saving Crew.
