Abingdon Fire was dispatched to assist Brumley Gap Fire Department in a combination brush, building, and vehicle fire off Porterfield Highway on Clinchview Lane. Brush 208 was returning from a Med-Flight landing when the call was received. Brush 208 and Utility 207 responded to the call. The fire scene was located in a remote section on Brumley Mountain and 4-wheel drive was needed to reach the scene due to the rough road access. Mostly brush trucks were used to battle the blaze. Clinch Mountain Fire Dept, Washington County Fire/Rescue, and Valley Rescue also responded.
