The Abingdon Fire Department serves the great town of Abingdon, VA and surrounding communities. Becoming a firefighter provides unique challenges and rewards. No experience is required – Free training is provided in conjunction with the Virginia Department of Fire Programs. Prospective applicants can email their application to ( JoinAFD@abingdon-va.gov ). You can also drop your application off at the station (316 Park Street, Abingdon, VA 24210) Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
