Abingdon Fire responded to 604 calls for service during 2021. This compared to 576 calls in 2020 or an increase of 28 calls. In 2019, we had 599 calls and the most in one year was in 2018 when the Department answered 635 calls for service.

Effective August 28, 2023, Captain Ray Osborne was promoted to the rank of Deputy Fire Chief (C4). Chief Osborne brings over 50 years of experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities to this position.
