Abingdon Fire personnel were given a tour of the new Lowes Home Improvement Store at Exit 19. Members went through the building to learn the floor plan and the areas of the store that could pose the most hazards. We also learned the location of the fire hydrants around the building and toured the sprinkler system room for pre-fire planning purposes. The soft opening of the store is set for February 5 with the Grand Opening on February 11.
