At 16:22, Abingdon Fire was dispatched to a 3 vehicle accident at the intersection of Russell Road and Old Russell Road. All three vehicles sustained heavy front end damage. One of the vehicles left Russell Road and ran down the bank onto Old Russell Road. Washington County Life Saving Crew transported 2 of the accident victims to Johnston Memorial Hospital. Engine 201, Utility 207, Command 209 and Command 210 Responded. Abingdon Police investigated the accident.
