At 22:11, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a single vehicle accident on the Northbound lane of Interstate 81 at the Virginia Creeper Trail overpass. There were no injuries, although the vehicle was on its side.

At 04:17, a vehicle driving toward Abingdon ran off Wyndale Road and hit a drainage culvert, traveled through a yard, and ended up hitting a house. The driver was transported to Johnston Memorial Hospital by Washington County Life Saving Crew with minor injuries.

At 18:06, Abingdon Fire was alerted to assist Damascus Fire on a structure fire in the 29000 Block of Rhea Valley Road. As units arrived on the scene, one end of the structure was heavily involved in fire.

At 08:56, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a vehicle fire at a local car dealership. Upon arrival the fire had been contained to the engine compartment by employees using portable fire extinguishers. The vehicle was being picked up by a local wrecker service when it caught fire.
