At 13:10, Abingdon Fire was dispatched to assist Washington County Life Saving Crew with a body recovery in an apartment complex on Deadmore Street. Members were required to use hazardous material personal protection equipment to make the recovery.

At 16:23, Abingdon Fire and Goodson-Kinderhook Fire/Rescue were alerted to a chimney fire in the 14000 block of Goldenrod Drive. Upon arrival, some smoke was seen coming from the chimney but the homeowner had photos of flames extending 5 feet out of the top of the chimney.
