At 1931, Abingdon Fire was dispatched to a two-vehicle accident at the above intersection. Two pickup trucks ran together and both hit the guardrail. Five to six occupants were transported to Johnston Memorial Hospital.

On 3-22-2010, Engine 201 along with Washington County Life Saving Crew and Abingdon Police Department responded to a vehicle over turned. On arrival, a 2 vehicle collision was found. A subject driving a SUV type vehicle hit a parked sedan and then overtuned.

At 2240 hrs, Abingdon Fire Department was dispatched to a garage fire. Upon arrival found a large amount of fire. Fire was extinguished and no other property was damaged. Closecall One firefighter fell into a pit in the floor of the garage.

At 1450 hrs Command 209, Tower 203, Engine 204, Tanker 202 and Utility 207 responded to report of smoke in a residential structure. Upon arrival found a thermostat that went to a baseboard heater had shorted out.
