At 03:05, Abingdon Fire was alerted to assist Green Spring Fire Dept on a structure fire on Cleveland Road. This historic house built in the 1800's was fully engulfed in flames when the first units arrived on scene.

At 0023, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a fire in a fryer at Long John Silvers on Cummings Street. Upon arrival, staff had extinguished the fire. Fire personnel disassembled the front of the fryer to check for addition problems.

At 23:53, Abingdon Fire was dispatched to a report of a vehicle in a creek off Porterfield Highway. As units arrived, a full size 4-door GMC pickup was seen under a pile of wood. The subject was headed southbound, ran off the roadway, and hit a bridge to a house that was located across the creek.

At 15:22 following an electrical storm, Abingdon Fire responded to a call of a strong gas smell at 100 Abingdon Place at the Abingdon Professional Building on Cummings Street The building reporting the smell was checked with a gas meter and no trace of the gas was detected inside the building.

At 19:13, Abingdon Fire was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in the 300 Block of Cummings Street in front of Krogers involving a motorcycle and a SUV. The rider of the motorcycle was treated by the Washington County Life Saving Crew.
