Abingdon Fire units were dispatched to a Motor Vehicle Accident involving a tractor trailer on Interstate 81 just north of exit 19. On arrival the tractor trailer had struck a work truck with safety barrier crossed into the median and rested against the guardrail.

At 17:07, Abingdon Fire was requested by the Damascus Fire Department for assistance on approximately 25-30 round hay bales on fire. The bales were also close to a barn. Many bales had to be rolled out to extinguish them.
