At 14:52, Abingdon Fire was dispatched to a structure fire in the 21000 block of Vances Mill Road. Smoke was found to be coming from the rear of the 2 story structure upon arrival.. A wood stove in a sunroom on the rear was the cause and part of the roof was removed to put out the fire.

At 09:45, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a single vehicle accident in the 15000 block of Porterfield Highway with reports of two occupants trapped in the vehicle. Upon arrival, the driver had excaped the vehicle with one occupant still in the car.

At 12:30, a single vehicle came off Interstate 81 Exit 19 Southbound off ramp and overturned in the hole at this location. This is the second accident that the department had responded to at this location in the last 6 days.

At 14:03, Abingdon Fire was alarted to a vehicle fire in the 900 Block of E Main Street, The fire was confined to the trunk area of the car and the underside of the rear. Town Sewer Department were on scene and knocked down the fire prior to the Engine arriving.

At 09:01, Abingdon Fire was dispatched to a vehicle fire at the bottom of the northbound ramp at Exit 19 of Interstate 81. Heavy smoke was observed coming from the engine compartment. Several portable extinguishers were used on the fire prior to the Engine arriving.

Abingdon Fire was alerted to a possible structure in the block of Ridgeview Drive. Upon arrival, it was confirmed as a structure fire with heavy smoke coming from the front of the dwelling. The fire started in the kitchen, probably around the microwave.

At 19.54, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Wyndale Road and Wolfe Creek Trail. A passenger car was eastbound on Wyndale and was stopped to turn left on the Wolfe Creek Trail.
