At 15:18, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a farm tractor rollover with a subject under the tractor. Upon arrival, the subject's foot and leg was pinned under the tractor's wheel. First arriving units attempted to raise the tractor using the jaws of life spreader.

At 07:19, a pickup truck traveling West on Main Street veered off the roadway and hit a utility pole. The driver was not injured. Abingdon Fire was alerted to control a fuel spill on the roadway. Chief 201 and Utility 210 responded along with Abingdon Police.

At 16:58, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a single vehicle rollover accident in the Northbound lane of Interstate 81. The single occupant was treated by Washington County Life Saving Crew and transported to Johnston Memorial Hospital.

At 14:44, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a 2-vehicle accident at the 15.8 mile marker of Northbound Interstate 81. A pickup truck hit the rear of a tractor trailer and ended up in the median. The driver in the pickup had to be extricated.

At 14:42, Abingdon Fire was dispatched to an accident at the intersection of Porterfield Highway and Elementary Drive. Initial reports indicated the vehicle was on fire with occupants still inside. Upon arrival, there was no fire, but two occupants were in the vehicle.

At 20:03, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a single vehicle accident in the 500 Block of East Main Street. The vehicle was Eastbound and veered off the roadway, hitting a utility pole and breaking it off at the base.

At approximately 14:22, an Eastbound Norfolk & Southern Freight Train struck a passenger car at the Preston Street Crossing. There was one female occupant in the vehicle that was transported to Bristol Regional Medical Center by Virginia State Police Med-Flight with serious injuries.

At 12:25, Abingdon Fire and Meadowview Fire were alerted to a structure fire in the 25000 Block of Watauga Road. Upon arrival a barn was observed fully involved and pretty well on the ground. In addition to the barn, some adjacent structures suffered heat damage.

Abingdon Fire was alerted at 06:58 to a single vehicle accident at the Exit 13 northbound off ramp. Upon arrival, a 28' rental truck was on its top. It had been pulling a car on a trailer and that became detached.

Abingdon Fire was alerted at 19:35 to a possible 4 to 5 vehicle accident in the 500 block of East Main Street. Upon arrival, there were 3 vehicles involved. It appeared that the vehicle in the rear ran into the 2 front vehicles causing a heavy amount of fluids on the roadway.

At 16:56, Abingdon Fire was alerted to a 2 vehicle accident in the 14000 Block of Porterfield Highway. Per Va State Police, a vehicle going southbound hydroplaned due to wet roadways and crossed into the northbound lane and hit a vehicle in that lane.

At 11:23, Abingdon Fire was dispatched to establish a landing zone for Virginia State Police Med Flight in relation to a tractor rollover accident in the 21000 Block of Worthing Way. The operator came down a steep bank while mowing and rolled the tractor over at the bottom of the hill.

At 07:07, Abingdon Fire was dispatched for automatic aid with Damascus Fire to Columbus McKinnon in Damascus. Upon arrival fire and heavy smoke was observed on the roof of the building. The fire originated in the heat treatment processing room.

At 15:35, Abingdon Fire received a report of a vehicle accident on Vance's Mill Road. Chief 201, Rescue Engine 206 and Utility 210 responded. Upon arrival, a single vehicle had run off the roadway and down an embankment.

At 11:21, Abingdon Fire responded to a single vehicle accident in the Southbound lane of Interstate 81 on the Exit 14 bridge. The accident occurred in the construction zone. The single occupant was transported to Johnston Memorial Hospital by the Washington County Life Saving Crew.
